shindig helps you find shows and go with friends. By using shindig or making an account, you agree to these terms. They're short, and the main rule is simple: be decent to other people.
Who we are
shindig is run by Griffin Bader in New York, NY. You can reach us at griffin@ctownsounds.com.
Who can use shindig
You need to be at least 13. Many shows listed are 18+ or 21+; the venue's age rules apply at the door.
Your account
One account per person. Use a name that's yours or one you're happy for friends to see, and keep access to your email secure, since that's how you sign in. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
No tolerance for offensive content or abusive users
Your name, username and anything you send us (like a suggested show or a report) must not include:
- Hate speech, slurs or attacks on anyone for who they are
- Harassment, bullying, threats or encouraging harm
- Sexual or obscene content
- Pretending to be someone else
- Spam, scams or anything illegal
We remove content that breaks these rules and close the accounts behind it, without warning when it's serious.
Reporting and blocking
Tap any person to open their page, where you'll find Report and Block. Blocking someone ends your friendship on shindig, stops them from adding you again and hides you from each other. We review every report within 24 hours and act on it, which can mean removing a name or closing an account. You can also email us anytime.
Listings and tickets
Show listings come from venue calendars and ticket sites, and we work hard to get them right, but times, lineups and prices change and mistakes happen. Check with the venue or ticket seller before you go. shindig doesn't sell tickets. When you buy from a venue or ticket seller, their terms apply, and we aren't part of that purchase.
Music, images and names
Song previews, artist photos and show artwork belong to their owners. Previews play from Deezer, Apple Music and similar services. Artist and venue names are used to describe the shows, not to suggest they endorse shindig.
Things you send us
When you suggest a show or send a report, you let us use it to run and improve shindig, for example by adding the show to the listings.
Ending your account
You can delete your account anytime under Profile → Delete my account. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
No guarantees
shindig is provided as is. We can't promise it will always be available, error free or accurate, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses that come from using it, such as a show that was cancelled or moved.
Changes
If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll let signed-in users know in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of New York State.
